Community Improvement Grants

Because of the impact the Salina community had on Earl Bane, and the manner in which he felt it invested in his success, he created the Earl Bane Foundation as a way to give back to the community. The Foundation seeks opportunities to award grants to organizations that will improve Saline County and the surrounding area, providing a better place for residents to live, work, and play.

The Foundation considers grant requests from nonprofit organizations and governments that will provide an educational, economic, scientific or religious benefit for Saline County and the surrounding area.

How to Apply

Due to the unique nature of each grant request, there is not a formal grant application form. The Foundation suggests the grant request be in the form of a letter including a brief description of your organization, the purpose for which funding is requested and how it will benefit the community and/or the population your organization serves, and the amount of the request.

Nonprofit organizations that are awarded grants will be required to provide evidence of nonprofit status in the form of a 501(c)(3) exemption letter.

Grant requests are accepted on a quarterly basis. To ensure your request is timely considered, requests should be submitted by March 1, June 1, September 1, or December 1. The Board meets during these months and approved grant awards are generally funded by the end of the month.

Grant requests may be submitted by mail or electronically.
