Community Improvement Grants
The Earl Bane Foundation was created in gratitude for the lasting impact the Salina community had on Earl’s life and success. In return, he established the Foundation to invest in the continued growth and well-being of Salina and Saline County.
What We Fund
The Foundation seeks to award grants to organizations that are working to improve Saline County—making it a better place for residents to live, work, and thrive.
Eligible grant requests are considered from nonprofit organizations and local governments providing educational, economic, scientific, or religious benefits to Salina and Saline County.
How to Apply
The Foundation does not use a formal grant application form. Instead, organizations are encouraged to submit a request in the form of a letter that includes:
- A brief description of your organization
- The purpose of the funding request
- How the grant will benefit the community and/or those you serve
- The amount requested
If awarded a grant, nonprofit organizations will be required to provide proof of nonprofit status (IRS 501(c)(3) letter).
Submission Deadlines
Grants are awarded on a quarterly basis. To be considered, grant submissions must be received by:
- March 1
- June 1
- September 1
- December 1
The Foundation’s Board meets during these months, and approved grants are typically funded by the end of the month.
